iOS Background Sounds Focus, Calm, and Accessibility

Apple’s Background Sounds is a feature available on iPhones, iPads, and Apple desktops running iOS 15 or later. We talk more about how it might be useful in Apple’s “Background Sounds”: Focus, Calm, and Accessibility in One Feature.

Set Up Background Sounds

  1. Open Settings then Accessibility.
  2. Go to Audio & Visual (under Hearing).
  3. Select Background Sounds.
  4. Turn Background Sounds on.
  5. Choose your preferred sound and decide if it should continue when the screen locks.

  1. Open System Settings, then go to Accessibility.
  2. Go to Audio.
  3. Turn Background Sounds on and choose your preferences.
