Upload Word Excel PowerPoint files to Google Drive and maintain file extension

a how-to for adjusting your Google Drive defaults so your Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files stay in their original format.

1. Log into your Google Drive if you're not yet logged in.
2. Select the cog wheel to navigate to the Settings page.
3. Navigate down the General Settings page to the Uploads section.
4. If "Convert uploads to Google Docs Editor format" is selected, unselect Convert uploads to Google Docs Editor format.
