Swarthmore provides Artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support teaching, learning, and research. Other tools not provided by Swarthmore may use your data to train their models, potentially creating a critical data security risk.

Text-Based

Google Gemini: Google’s AI chatbot and mobile app

Gemini Notebook (formerly NotebookLM): Google’s service that uses your specific documents as a knowledge base to answer questions, summarize content, and generate ideas

LibreChat: multi-model AI chatbot including access to ChatGPT and Claude and open source models.

Image, Video, and Music

Firefly: generate images from a text description

Google Gemini: generate images, videos, and music from a text description

Google Gemini Alt Text Gem: Generate alternative text and image descriptions for your visuals.

Zoom

Zoom AI Companion: automatically generate meeting summaries and allow participants to questions about the meeting.

API Access

ITS provides API access to a number of different large language models. Get in touch with ITS to learn more about how to incorporate AI into your coding projects.

Research

The Firebird Computing Cluster can be used to run Large Language Models (LLMs). See Running Ollama and LLMs on Firebird for more information.
