How to install CrashPlan on your workstation
CrashPlan Installation Process:

Download the appropriate version of the Code42 software below. The installation process may take
up to 10 minutes.

Note: CrashPlan looks identical on Mac and PCWhen Crashplan opens
When Code42 opens, the primary user of the computer will need to log into Crashplan in with their Swarthmore network credentials (with the @swarthmore.edu at the end).
During the setup, under your Username and Password requires a Server as an option please enter the following below for the serverbelow the username and password, look for the Server options. Enter the following information:
Once Logged logged in click on: Start Backup. (note: if it starts automatically to i2 cloud that is ok)
Once the Crash Plan software Code42 software is installed, locate and open the Crash Plan application
Locate on a PC:
Windows: Click on the start button and
type “Crash” in the search. Then click on the CrashPlan icon.
Locate on a MAC:
macOS: Click on Applications and locate
Code42. Or search for "Code42" in
Spotlight (magnifying glass icon) in the upper right corner.
Please contact us after installation however, continue to save the Help Desk (x4357, email@example.com) after installation so we can verify your backup. Save any critical files onto Google Drive (College-related) your Swarthmore Google Drive and/or an external drive (personal files) until we confirm that your Crash Plan Code42 backup is running smoothly.
