About EndNote Basic
EndNote Basic (formerly EndNote Web) is a free online Reference Manager. This makes accessing your information easier because it is available to any computer with a web connection. You can also share selected parts of your library with other EndNote users.
Installation Instructions
- Go to the EndNote website at www.myendnoteweb.com and register for an account with your Swarthmore email address
- Sign into the EndNote website
- Go to Downloads
- To capture websites, add Capture Reference button to your browser bookmarks toolbar
- Captures references from web pages
- Some databases, such as Google Scholar and PubMed, allow you to capture an entire page of references all at once
- To add to Microsoft Word, download Cite While You Write for Windows or Mac
- Open the installer and follow the Installation Instructions presented
