Faculty & Staff

Every employee of Swarthmore College is provided with a network account and username, which will automatically be provisioned when their employment information has been completed by Human Resources (staff) or the Provost's Office (faculty).

If you are an employee and have not received your account username,  notify Human Resources (staff) or the Provost's Office (faculty).


All students registered for a Swarthmore class are assigned a network account and username. Accounts are created automatically for new students in the fall and spring.  

If you do not have a username please contact the Registrar's office.

Establishing your initial password/Resetting your password

Upon first use, you will need to establish your password. You will also be required to change your password every 180 days, or may choose to change at any time.

Password Usage

Your username and password can then be used to access most campus digital services, such as:

  • The campus network (Wi-Fi)
  • G Suite, including Gmail, Google Drive, and AODocs
  • mySwarthmore
  • Banner administrative software 
  • Moodle, Swarthmore's learning management system

Guest Accounts

College visitors who do not have College IDs may use the wireless network called SwatGuest. General guest accounts may be attained by following the self-service instructions. If you are a Tri-Co student enrolled in a Swarthmore course, review how to login to a Moodle course
